I. DISCRIPTION
It is a surface or surface grounding resistance tester. According to ASTM standard D-257 parallel electrode sensing way to do the surface resistance test. It can simply and repeatedly test various types of the surface, such as conduction type, release type and insulating surface。
 
II. OPERATION
1、 Open the battery door and install the battery inside. Keep the device from the surface of the tested object, hold the red “TEST” button, and at this time the insulation light on.
2、 Put the device on the surface of the tested object and press “TEST” button, the light LED will indicate the order of magnitude of impedance of the surface.

3、Earthing resistance test
Insert the earth wire into the ground socket, so that it is insulated from the right side of the meter (with the same side of the socket) and the alligator clamp is connected to the earth wire. Place the meter on the surface of the object, and hold the "TEST" button, and continue lighting LED indicating the magnitude of the earthing resistance. The unit of measurement is Ω.
 
III. CALIBRATION
This meter need a calibration every 12 months, use a decade resistance box, put the standard resistance bridged between the two parallel electrodes of the meter to see if the indication is within the target range. Or you can send the meter back to our factory and do the calibration.
The linear value of the transition point is the median value(±10%) of each range.

The resistance of the resistance box should be 1000Ω to 999MΩ or 109Ω。If you want to test more than 109Ω, you should use CAD technology (Because it is hard to calibrating a resistance which is more than 109Ω by a 9V battery), Connect the two electrodes of the resistance box to the two parallel electrodes of the meter, adjust the resistance box to the required resistance 1K=103, then hold the “TEST” button, and the 103 LED on. The calibration of other ranges is the same as above. When measuring the impedance conversion point, hold the on/off button and at the same time continue adjusting the resistance of the impedance bridge, and observe the next range LED, check the resistance when the next LED on, and change  this resistance to the impedance value.
